Ryan Kennedy
Coaching Career
Ryan is currently owner of RK3 Development and co-director of a non-profit baseball organization
Rhino Baseball, INC. He has spent 15 years in coaching baseball at multiple levels.
He brings a wealth of knowledge back to the game for the next generation of student-athletes.
Ryan spent 9 years as the Head Baseball Coach at Lakewood Ranch High School and 10 years
overall in the program. Under his realm, he guided the Mustangs to back-to-back district
championships in 2018 and 2019.

Prior to coaching at Lakewood Ranch, he assisted four years at the University of Tampa primarily working with the infielders and assisted with the Spartan hitters. Two of the four years at Tampa, the Spartans won two Regional Championships in 2008 and 2010. As a Spartan coach, 20+ players were selected in the MLB draft from 2008-2011.
Playing Career
During his playing career, Ryan was apart of the 1997 Manatee East Little League team from Bradenton, Florida, which represented the South in the Little League World Series. They finished 2nd in the United States and 3rd in the World.
Ryan was a graduate at Lakewood Ranch High School in 2003 where he was a 4-year Varsity shortstop for the Mustangs. During his senior season, he was apart of the 2003 5A State Championship team who defeated Tallahassee Lincoln 7-6.
After high school, Ryan went onto play baseball at the University of Florida. After seeing limited action in 24 games a true freshman, he transferred his sophomore season to Manatee Community College where he hit .338 as a Lancer.
Prior to Ryan's junior year, he committed to University of Tampa. That year, he started at second base and hit .327 for the Spartans. He was also named second-team All-SSC and was apart of the 2006 National Championship team. In his senior season, he was awarded the 2007 First Team All-Region Rawlings Gold Glove award with a .976 fielding percentage and was one of eight Finalist for the National Rawlings Gold Glove. UT went on to win back-to-back National Titles. After batting .387 as a senior with 13 homeruns, compiling 96 hits, 20 doubles, 42 walks and 63 RBI's, on June 2007, he was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 19th round of the Major League Draft. He spent a year playing in the Angels organization. While with the organization, he won 2007 Pioneer League Champions, Orem Owlz.
